Anate Powder 1–6 yrs contains amodiaquine and artesunate, an antimalarial combination used to treat uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria. The two medicines work together to kill malaria parasites and should only be used when the infection is not severe.
Who is it for
This medication is intended for children aged 1 to 6 years old. It should not be used by infants under 1 year or adults. Do not give it to children who are allergic to artesunate or amodiaquine, or who have had liver problems, low white blood cell counts, or eye problems. Consult a doctor before use if the child has liver or kidney disease or other serious illnesses.
Dosage
Give one sachet (containing 50 mg artesunate and 150 mg amodiaquine) dissolved in clean water once daily for three days, or as directed by a healthcare provider. Your pharmacist may adjust the dosage based on the child’s weight.
