This medication is for adults and children with bacterial infections. The suspension form is particularly suitable for children and those who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
Dosage
Dosage varies based on the type and severity of infection, age, and weight. For children: dosage is weight-based, typically calculated as 8-12mg/kg/day (based on trimethoprim component) divided into 2 doses every 12 hours. For adults: typical dose is 10mL (equivalent to one double-strength tablet) every 12 hours.
